Keep the pigment, skip the price.
I’m not sure how late I am on these but apparently they’re quite the product.
With Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kit releasing just last week & selling out within minutes, you can imagine that all the internet beauties were in rage. Kylie Jenner has been queen of the lip game for some time now, making Angelina Jolie seem like a figure of the past. Beauty enthusiasts everywhere fell in love with not only the plumpness of her new lips but her beautiful collection of lip colors.” Kylie Jenner lips” pretty much became a make-up standard. Your lips don’t have to be as full as hers but a defined, matte lip is a definite must nowadays.
For those of you that weren’t able to get your hands on a Kylie Lip Kit, there is still hope. Truthfully, it’s easy to get your hands on a matte lip product. Brands like NYX or Jordana make it affordable to have a nice & pigmented matte lip. However, I do find myself reapplying my lip liner throughout the day. Even more expensive products like MAC still have me reapplying throughout my evening. It’s always in the back of my mind to keep reapplying, especially since I feel like lip color makes such a big difference on me but sometimes it’s not always convenient to reapply. Or even worse, I carry around my lipstick & then I lose it — which always happens to me. Then I have to replace it & I’m stuck spending like $20 on a single lipstick every month.
Well after the internet freaked out over the Kylie Lip Kit, I couldn’t help but notice a brand that kept being mentioned in the forum comments — ColourPop.
ColourPop is out of Los Angeles & apparently, is very popular. They offer eye shadows, bronzer, blush, highlighter, creme gel, lipsticks, lip liner, & of course, liquid lipsticks. The liquid lipsticks have an ultra matte finish & come in a super variety of colors. I haven’t heard much about their other products but everyone has nothing but good things to say about their liquid lipsticks. Everyone kept mentioning how cheap they are as well so I decided to check them out myself.
I get to the site & find out that the liquid lipsticks are as cheap as $6 each! They also offer packs of 5 for $20! Safe to say that anyone could afford to have some ColourPop in their pocket.
So we’ll see how this goes. I ended up getting one of the 5 for $20 packs. I’m super excited to try them out & even if they don’t hold up like everyone says they do, I won’t be that upset because I paid a super fair price for them.
Let me know if you’ve used ColourPop before & if you’re happy with it or not. That goes for any of their products. I also would love to hear about other inexpensive make-up brands that offer exceptional quality.
