NYFW – JEREMY SCOTT F/W 16.

JEREMY SCOTT SENT A TINSEL COAT DOWN THE RUNWAY. YES. 100% YES.

Jeremy Scott is a well known designer with an track record that is outrageous because, well, Jeremy Scott is outrageous. It is commonly debated whether he is tasteful or tacky but truthfully, I could care less what they say because I always love what he does. However this particular collection, titled Cowboys & Poodles, is considered to be one of his best.

I’ve always thought of Jeremy Scott as a breath of fresh air. There are always so many colorful & eccentric layers to his collections. His clutter feels like organized chaos because he never fails to create a theme. His comical taste is heavily rooted in inspiration from pop culture rather than high fashion & even though this collection is something we could totally expect from Jeremy Scott, it’s safe to say that he really caught everyone’s attention this time around. This collection offers neon colors, zany animal furs, cosmic prints, 90’s cartoons, western wear, & graphic t-shirts that seem like they could’ve been bought from a Hollywood truck stop (which don’t even exist). The whole experience is pretty much the acid trip that every 80’s rockstar turned space cowgirl dreams of.

Maybe I’m insane but there really  are so many pieces from this collection that I love. I can’t even begin to tell you all of my favorites. At this point I am starting to feel like a Jeremy Scott stan & I feel a bit embarrassed about that but I really love what he does. I also consider Jeremy Scott to be more on the affordable side of fashion which makes this even more exciting because this means that I actually have a chance at owning some of these incredible pieces.
