TRUST YOUR STRUGGLES.

2016 sucked but nonetheless, here’s to another year and a whole lifetime ahead of us.

Year after year I have tried to formulate the ultimate, fail-proof New Years Resolutions list. I even went as far as setting up a timeline to cautiously map out when and how I would tackle each task throughout the course of the year.

Yet even with the utmost effort and the best intentions, not everything went as planned.

You know why?

Because rarely do things always go as planned.

That is something that everyone knows but it is also something that everyone forgets.

We are so wrapped up in the end goal that we forget about the journey it takes to get there.

Rarely does life ever hand us what we ask for. Matter of fact, there are so many moments in life where you will be given everything you DIDN’T ask for.

Your automatic reaction might be to go into Britney Spears meltdown mode but in most cases, that’s not going to change anything.

So don’t beat yourself up because you still don’t have your dream job, a beach bod, a Rollie on your wrist, the bae of your dreams, or whatever it is you desire.

Trust your journey, trust your struggles.

You may not have gotten everything you wanted out of last year but as long as you’re living, you still got a shot. No brujeria or chicken-sacrificing required.

You have the power to get what you want out of this life. Never forget that.

With that in mind, I want to approach 2017 focused and confident. I want to remember that eventually, I will get to where I want to be as long as I don’t give up and keep working. I want to be confident in myself but more importantly, confident in my ideas.

Cheers to 2017🍾
