British singer, song-writer, artist, dancer, and all around do-it-yourself-er FKA Twigs, takes on the role of creative director for Nike Women’s Spring campaign, “Do You Believe In More?”
A question that FKA Twigs asked herself a lot as she was growing up, saying in the campaign’s featured zine,
“Do you believe in more?” refers to a girl who grew up looking different from everybody else around me, who wanted to do things no one else wanted to do in a small town, who didn’t grow up with lots of money, but just had so much determination and hope inside herself. I wanted to do more with my life. I wanted to do everything.”
Along with the zine, the campaign features a video developed by Twigs and directed by 17-year old David Uzochukwu.
The video of course features Twigs’ signature choreo style, a new song titled “Trust In Me”, and an all-star list of athletes including Miles Chamley-Watson, English Gardner, Saskia Horton, and more. In addition to the beautiful scenery of Mexico City, the video gives us an exclusive look at the Nike Spring Zonal Strength Tights and some other new Nike gear which can be expected to be released with the Spring collection.
There’s no word on when the collection will be available for purchase so until then, enjoy Twigs and make sure to visit Nike.com to see the full campaign.
